Help gus please! I am trying to extend my stay as a visitor online for my common-law sponsorship.
When i type the reason for extending my visa, I got this error message : Your answer is incomplete. Provide the necessary information below to continue. •Your answer must be in English or French, and cannot contain punctuation or special characters.

what can i do????? my visitor visa expires on 31st and I always applied online and had no issue!!!! :'(

Why are you waiting until the last minute? They recommend you apply for renewal at least 30 days before it expires.

Are you answering all questions in english?

As far as i know, i can still apply for extension before my current one expires, doesnt matter if it is 30 days ago or not. i have done that 4 times and i got no problem at all.
Anyway, just a quick note, i have applied online successfully, thank you.

I guess they just recommend it (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/extend-stay.asp). We did ours 60 days before to avoid issues.
Glad you got it done though!

It CAN matter sometimes. I think you've been pretty lucky. But the message you got is EXACTLY why you need to apply EARLIER, in case there's issues.

Yes it is recommended that you apply 30 days in advance (and when you get in a situation with error messages you can certainly understand why) but if there is a chance that something else will come up and you won't need to re-apply, or you really need to maximize your time then 60 days just seems like a waste of 50 good days (and 30 a waste of 20).

Copy/paste your reply in notepad and re-paste from notepad in CIC
