Hey guys, I see a lot of people saying they missed an email from CIC because it accidentally got marked as spam. If you're a Gmail user, this following tip will help.

- In Gmail, go to Settings, and click on Filters.
- Click "Create a New Filter" down the bottom.
- In the "from" field input "* @ cic.gc.ca" (remove the spaces)
- Click "Create filter with this search"
- Select "Never send it to Spam"
- Also optionally, select things like "Always mark it as important", "Star it", or apply a label if you have labels set up.

For me, now whenever I get an email from CIC it gets a big orange label attached, gets a big gold star at the front, and is guaranteed not to go missing! :P

Please feel free to share other tips for other email users if anyone knows of a way to do this with thins like outlook, hotamil, yahoo, etc.
