Hi everyone!

I was offered a position as a private lesson voice teacher in Alberta. I'm just wondering what the best way to proceed with a work permit is. It's basically a subcontract so i'm not sure what steps to take. The company finds students and then distributes those students among teachers in the Alberta area. I haven't been able to find much information about obtaining a work permit as a subcontractor and was wondering if anyone had any insight or ideas. Thank you so much! :)

This most likely won't lead to a visa - either a PR visa or work permit.

The job would need to be full time (i.e. you need a full time job offer from your employer) and the employer would need to obtain an approved LMIA. Without an approved LMIA - you won't qualify for a work permit.

Right! I meant to say work permit not a visa, I modified the original post to say that. Do you happen to know if there is any difference for a subcontractor when getting a work permit vs a regular job?
