Hi Everyone,
My Gf resides in canada. She is permanent resident there. I live in New Zealand. I applied twice for student visas to canada in 2013 which were refused and applied for visitor visa in 2018 which was again refused.

My question today is if i get married to her and will my previous refusals be a problem in my spousal sponsorship(immigration based on marriage)?

They will most likely think that your relationship is not genuine, that you married for citizenship and deny it unless you can convince them that it is real

your must answer YES in IMM1344 regarding your previous visa refusal.......your spousal sponsorship will not be rejected because of previous visa refusal but will be thoroughly scrutinized......your spousal sponsorship will be approved based on the proof of the supporting documents and the genuineness of your marriage.......submit the requirement documents as according to the checklist to convince the visa office that your marriage is genuine.

Hi

Provided you can show a genuine relationship and you declare all refusals, it won't be an issue.
