Hi all,

My previous EE profile has expired recently two weeks ago and it had a application that I withdrew. I applied for PNP and got nominated from BC last year. I recieved 2 ITAs since then but did not complete the application as I had plans to move to Ontario.

Now I am creating a new profile for EE and planning to apply in the CEC category, and for the question "Have you been nominated by a province" what should I answer as I moved to Ontario already and applying for CEC now?

Thanks in advance.

Answer yes and explain you didn't accept it.

Thanks Taran. There is no text field to explain it. Also, I have accepted the PNP nomination on August 30 last year when I thought I was going to settle in BC. So, in my previous profile it says accepted. So, I couldn't decline it after that. I am just thinking if giving yes will increase my points based on the profile information while giving no seems to be wrong partially too. So, please help me out with this.

You can go for yes if you had been issued a nomination certificate which I believe you didn't have as you never went for it. Also when you say yes to it IRCC will verify it from province and when they will receive it they will likely give you misinterpretion.

Thanks Taran, I did receive 600 points as well as a letter from ircc for accepting the nomination from BC. I believe that’s the certificate of nomination. Some one please correct me if I’m wrong. So, now should I go with yes or no?

Oh Ok, so its like intially you get nomination. You accept it, submit all paperwork, it is verified and then they issue you a certificate in the email which is password protected. Did you got that??

I received an email which has 2 documents, one being conditions of nomination and other is confirmation of nomination but it’s not password protected.

I received an email with subject confirmation of nomination which has a document titled confirmation of nomination but it’s not password protected.

Ok, it clearly says that you had been successfully though. Depends upon province maybe, it was BC you mentioned earlier, isn't it??

Yes , the nomination was from BC and the profile I created for EE last year where I accepted the nomination has expired as well.

Sorry for the late reply but I think you need to create a new one now. I am not sure but have heard you can get nomination extended if expired. Is your nomination still valid?

Hi Taran,

BC PNP is valid for 180 days and mine is past that. Also I’m planning to stay in Ontario now, that’s why I was thinking of answering no to it. Thanks
