Never seen this before. The notes are just 5$ on the IRCC website. They contain everything you need in them.

You do need to be in Canada or have a Canadian request them, which is why companies offer the service for more money.

The difference is that the cheaper option does not include what you submitted as part of your application, only the notes. The more expensive option includes the documents you submitted.

I ordered the "premium" notes OCT 25 about a month after IRCC was supposed to have a decision on our file because they exceeded the time frame.(fyi, its a conjugal sponsorship) I wanted to be proactive just in case the IO decision was negative. I then sent a webform stating our file went passed the expected day of a decision. I didn't get a response directly but we did get a pre arrival email and I was told to pay the right of permanent residence fee which was on Nov 15. Also, it was requested we upload a more current police clearance, the older one was more than 6 months. An IO from the Kyiv VO called my girlfriend and asked her about her daughters
birth registration and wanted some clarification. I'm still waiting for the notes as the premium package is supposed to take 45 days which was today...lol ( a little impatient )
Now we just wait but it still feels like were walking on eggshells.
