Hello, I'm waiting for my second work permit and I spoke to my boss that I would like to get pregnant but my boss said I couldn't get pregnant due to the work permit and that's the law, she said. they have no one to replace me I understand their part but they have someone else who is my boss I am 37 years old and I wanted another child and I would like to know my rights as a worker so I can negotiate with them for them not to look bad too and so I can have another baby too. thank you for enlightening me i really appreciate it.

You are free to get pregnant. There is no work permit law preventing you from doing this. Your boss is lying to you and is a bad person.

thank you for answering me so quickly. I'm more relaxed with what I've been confirmed, will you be able to tell me how long I'm entitled to stay at home with my baby from what I've read I'm entitled to 17 weeks but I wanted to confirm and if I'm entitled to receive it while I'm with my baby because my boss also said that I have no right to receive anything being on the work permit. thanks for your answer.

“I'm entitled to 17 weeks”

Have no clue what province you’re in . But employment standards are governed by the province you’re in, it’s NOT federal jurisdiction.
Example ; Ontario
It maybe unpaid
