Hi all, I am a PR and currently pregnant (23w). My husband and I didn't do much research and applied the visitor visa 2 months ago for him because we thought the processing time for trv would be much faster than pr application, and the result was, well ofc denied due to strong family tie in Canada... so I just finish applying for his outland family sponsorship today. My question is, what's the chance for him to sucessfuly apply for visitor visa after he got AOR? Would IRCC refuse him again because I'm pregnant and he has strong intent to overstay? We provided his job letter from his company saying they would keep his job once he returns and also flight itinerary for round trip last time but still got refused not to mention his bankstatements and assets etc! I don't know what else should we provide if he applies again! I really hope that he can come over and take care of me during my 3rd trimester and delivery. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Hs still needs to address reasons for refusal and has high chance of refusal because IRCC knows he will not leave. So he is really going to return to his job? He doesn't have family ties since you are his family tie, and needs more than just job to return. Being pregnant shows that he will not leave at all. So he can apply again but needs to address all reasons for refusal.

Where is he from? You are in Canada now?

They do seem more lenient for those with sponsorship applications in process - I personally doubt there is much you can do in addition (although do what you can per other comments) except to emphasize that yes, there is a sposnorship app in process, you wish to be reunited (due to pregnancy), and write something that he will return if sponsorship not successful.

My impression is that this is far more likely if it is a clear and solid application and marriage evidence there was solid.

So do what you can, attempt to address the issue, and hope that they are lenient. HTH.

Would wait until he receives AOR before reapplying but depending on processing time you may not get a response in time. I would be making a back-up plan for support if your husband can not join you.
