Hello...I will appreciate to get some info plz!

I am pregnant with a valid ontario heath card and coverage. I am moving to Edmonton in May and i am due in 1 week of june.
I asked from Onatrio health services and they told me that labor and delivery will be covered by ontario while alberta health coverage will start after 3 months of my moving to edmonton.

Can anyone plz confirm me that do edmonton hospitals do the recipropcal billing system in which i just have to show my health card. or do i have to pay and then claim for reimbursement???
Also do the doctors charge for pre natal check ups or do they accept ontario health card?

I am quite worried because we are with limited budget and will have to arrange for money on time!
So need to know things beforehand.

Everybody in Edmonton will accept an OHIP card.

thanks.

There is one more question. Do i have to ask the doctor to transfer my medical records electronically ?? if they give me the copies will that be acceptable? Because i will move to edmonton and then find the doctor.

I think copies will be fine.
