Pregnant applying for Visitor Visa

No reason why it should make any difference there is no obligation to declare a pregnancy. Once approved you are good to go although if you arrive at the limit of travelling might get more questions than usual from CBSA about your intentions as a visitor, maybe or maybe not nobody can predict whether they will restrict your stay.
Are you saying that It is possible to live in America while having the visitor visa, while the father of your child is a PR in Canada, but be denied entry to Canada if you're far along in your pregnancy bc they don't want you giving birth in Canada?! Even with a visa???
It is not necessarily that they do not want anyone giving birth just that as a temporary resident will someone be in a position to fund the birth costs which will not be covered by the Canadian health care system or travel insurance.
A temporary resident visa is exactly that temporary and not intended really for anyone to live in Canada regardless of fact the father is a PR and of course does not give anyone the right to enter the country, only PRs and citizens have that right.
Plus having a baby in Canada as a temporary resident whilst the baby will be a citizen at birth that will not affect nor influence the status of the mother who remains a temporary resident until any PR application succeeds or not.
