Hi, If a Canadian got pregnant from their mexican husband whom they are sponsoring (and the applicant is waiting for the application to process in Mexico and the Canadian is in Canada), could that make the application process quicker and or make it more likely for an accepted application. Or can it take longer for the application to process... or make no difference. They met a year ago and soon after got married.

Hey,

being pregnant cannot speed up the process unfortunatly, although proof of having a child is a nice piece of evidence.

as for slowing it down no, it wont slow the process down, so thats a good thing :)

Thank for your reply, considering that they met a year ago and married right away and applied for immigration for the applicant soon after, then got pregnant, can that be a red flag for a Marriage of Convenience, Marriage Fraud.

It could be, BUT alot of people meet and get married very quickly and alot of people also send in their immigration applications right after their wedding.

as long as they have good strong evidence to show the relationship is honest and continueing, they should be fine, if worst comes to worst the husband may be called for an interview, but even with that most of the time the applications are approved after the interview.
if you have more questions you can also feel free to join the MEXICO thread, on there is specifically applicants with mexican spouses applying outland aswell
