My father applied for permanent residence under FSW category back in 2007 with 3 dependents including my mom and sister and we assigned a file number for the reference.However, in 2008 we got to know that government has decided to terminate all the applications submitted before February, 2018 to eliminate the backlog and the applicants can file for the refund or resubmit their applications under new system. He opted and got refund.
Right now I am submitting the application for my parents visitor visa (my mother's sister is inviting my father and my mother) and while filling form IMM5257e there is a filed which says "Have you ever applied to enter into Canada?" the required answer is in YES/NO and there is a reason box. Should I tick the YES option and provide the explanation in the reason section or just tick No. The reason I am asking about this is because the application was not either refused or accepted but "terminated".
Please answer the questions to make the form filling easier for me.
