Finally we were able to submit passport today. Now just have to wait to get it back.

Timeline: VO- SGVO

Application sent- November 1, 2021
Application received- November 4, 2021
Biometrics from TRV- January 10, 2022
Medical request- April 5, 2022
Medical completed- April 6, 2022
Medical updated to completed- April 10, 2022
AOR- April 6, 2022
Eligibility started- May 6, 2022
Eligibility completed- November 20, 2022
Pre-arrival- November 21, 2022
Background verification never started but got updated to completed on November 23, 2022.
PPR- November 23, 2022.
COPR number on tracker- November 23, 2022.
Passport submitted- November 26, 2022.

GCKEY still shows last update as Medical completed although pre-arrival and ppr was received through GCKEY.

New tracker seems to be very fast in updates. It even shows Passport received. July, August and September we got regular ghost updates. Ghost updates were very rare around the end once every 15/20 days.

Hopefully everyone stuck in this mess will be out very soon. Good luck.

I'd suggest you look at the tracker file. In actuality, it can vary quite a bit, and those sending out the "you'll get it in two weeks, confirmed" are just getting people's hopes up. Some get their PPR quickly after the pre-arrival, some take longer.

The file is not 'done' at pre-arrival, jsut one stage.
What is your status now ,did you receive your PR since I receive today the pre-arrival

Goodmoring Everyone.

A friend of mine applied for inland spousal sponsorship in July 2022.

She needs to wait for the next email on further instruction regarding to her PR application. There is nothing to be confused about. Pre arrival is just information on the services she can use when she becomes a PR. It's not a "stage" in the process.

Just an update from my last post.

My friend application was approved. She received a call from IRCC officer asking her if she received the pre arrival letter and if she understand the content of the letter, she responded by saying she doesn't understand the content of the letter very well.

The officer responded by saying its a good news and that her application has been approved that she should expect her PR card in the mail anytime.

also the officer said she should stop reporting to CBSA.
