Practice tests for citizenship test

Can someone please recommend any good practice test resource to prepare for citizenship test?
Just one or two resource would be enough.

I made Flash cards for myself for dates and people. I was at about 95% on 60 dates and 80% on people when I went in for the test.

I get nervous about exams so probably over prepared. When I took the test as soon as we were allowed I flipped through it to see the questions then breathed again and completed it once. Then went back through it afterwards to check my answers. Was fairly happy I’d have gotten through but that 15 min wait for confirmation was tough!

Read the book 2-3 times, do flash cards if it helps you and you struggle to remember dates and things like me. I recommend doing tests online (just google, including on this forum) just the 1-2 weeks before exam as none of them have all the possible questions. The Ottawa Richmond library one is good and probably about the right level. Others are harder (one was insane) and one site has a huge number of tests and questions in each chapter.

Thanks for your response. How hard was the test?

Test wasn't too bad but I did revise a lot. If you have a great memory it's easier of course. There are multiple versions of the actual test too, some versions could be harder than others. Remember the failure rate is 20%, used to be 4% pre 2008, then they decided it was too easy and it rose to 30% before they settled back on 20%.

As in, 1 in 5 people will not pass. I don't personally know anyone who has failed, but most of them did more than just read the book the night before (one read it 3 times the night before however).

I also had the same question in my mind when I was in your position. With a hindsight now(DM status and awaiting the oath invite), I can say it is an over kill. But before the exam, its always better to be prepared.

Try out all these but just one word of caution. Don't lose your sleep if you get less than 75% in few practice tests assuming you try all the multiple tests available put together from all these multiple resources. You would be fine in the real test. Just my gut feeling now that I had been through the process and had read others experience.

All the best with the test and further processing.

Yes as per s23srinivas; you want and SHOULD (in my opinion) be getting 19/20 on that one by the time you take your test. Others generally speaking are a little more detail orientated and while they can ask anything the pass mark is 15 not 20. Be warned many of the test sites are also woefully outdated, while our PM hasn't changed in a while things like the major opposition party/leader in ON and even leader of the federal party in power have changed. Will those questions come up? Well they are in the book so they could, you should fill out those two pages (or just write the answers on a flash card).

That said, your local MP is extremely unlikely to come up given most people take the test outside of that area given there just aren't enough IRCC offices. And while I know my local MP I have no idea what the one in my IRCC office is (or was)!
