i have my pr card and before i left to my country of origin
i decided to have my baby to my 5yrs girlfriend
and luckily we have a healthy baby boy,
so these i the question now can i get my family here
even we are not yet married??????? :o

A couple of questions.

Q1) Did you live with your girlfriend as a couple for more than 12 months before you landed as a PR?

If you did, you would have had to add her to your PR application and if you did not do that, you would have a problem.

Q2) Have you lived with your girlfriend as a couple for more than 12 months after you got your PR?

If you did, that would be good because then you can sponsor her for PR. If you didn't, you could marry her and then sponsor her for PR.

Q3) Was your baby born before you landed as a PR and not added to your PR application?

If yes, then you have a problem. If no, you got your PR before your baby was born, you can sponsor him.

In order to sponsor them for PR, you must be residing in Canada yourself. The processing time depends on their home country and can be anywhere from a few months to a couple of years.

yah we are together in more than 2yrs back home,
idid not add her to my application couz my mom is the one who applied my pr card,
Q2 sounds very interesting :) but how?
can i include my baby?
and its been a year now staying here in canada ithink iwant to settle here..
how please help me i realy want to see my son beside me..

Did you DATE for 2 years back home (but live in separate places) or did you actually LIVE TOGETHER for 2 years back home? The answer is very important.

If somebody had gotten PR under their mother, they would have to be a dependent child.

A dependent child can not be in a common law partnership or married.

If immigration were to find out later that such a dependent child really was in a common law partnership when they got their PR, they would revoke it because this person has committed misrepresentation to immigration by not declaring their common law partner and they should not have been given PR as a dependent child anyway.

Therefore, I sure hope you did not live together with your girlfriend as a couple for 12 months duration or longer before you got your PR.

As for the baby, it can not be added to your application any more after you have already gotten your PR.

I asked was the baby born before you got your PR or after you got your PR (landed)?

If the baby was born before you got your PR and you did not include it or add it on your application, you are guilty of misrepresentation and you will never be allowed to sponsor this baby.

If the baby was born after you got your PR, you can sponsor it.

actually may baby born after i got PR ,
before i left my country idecide to have a baby
w/ her couz i do want to go in canada and work for
my self iwant obligation then it happens..
im not married before or after got my PR card we are just live together
.. so what is possible thing to do now ? i have a plan to get married when i return to my country
so is that ok or it is not allowed?

if u now what i mean iam already here at canada
when my gf was pregnant but i already know that
she was pregnant 6mons but i already pass all my application for my PR card
so what is possible thing to do so i can have them both here :(

As long as you did not live together as a couple for 12 or more months before you landed as a PR, you can marry your girlfriend and sponsor her.

If your baby was born after you landed as a PR, you can sponsor it.

It does not matter if she was pregnant when you landed as a PR as long as the baby was not born yet.

I see your English is not very good. I don't mean this in a bad way but you should ask someone to read these replies with you and help you translate them to your language so that you fully understand what you are being advised.

You do not want to make any mistakes with immigration. That is serious business.

thank you so much leon for all..
yah i know my english so bad i appreciate your honesty leon
and again tnx you so much for all your help now i understand what you mean ...

next question is it required to apply for citezenship after staying for 2yrs.
If my PR expired is it true that im not allowed to stay in canada anymore?

You cannot apply for citizenship after 2 years, you must have been physically in Canada for 3 of the last 4 years.
Your PR does not expire. Your PR CARD does expire, but your status of PR, does not. So if you have been in Canada for 2 of the past 5 years, you can apply to renew your card. Since PR status does not expire, you are still a PR and can remain in Canada.

Note that doesn't mean that you can live outside of Canada for years and claim PR status. Your PR card expires, and you need this card to enter Canada. So if you have been outside of the country for say 4 years, than you might have problems.

Right. To keep your PR, you must have at least 730 days (two years) in Canada in your first 5 years as a PR and after that in any rolling 5 year period. That is, after you are a PR for 5 years or more, they always look at the past 5 years. If you don't have that, you would not be able to renew your PR card any more.

You can also lose your PR if you commit a crime. Then they can revoke it and deport you.

If you want to stay in Canada forever, you should apply for citizenship. You can do that after 3 years in Canada (1095 days).
