I have heard it all now!!!...I am currently and have always been on ODSP (Ontario Disability Support Program) I was approved to sponsor my husband in November 2012..we had an interview in May 2013..the VO kept the hubby's passport so we were thinking everything it hunky dorey..we received DM on October 20/2013..few days later we were asked to pick up or courier his passport and DOC...never heard anything after paying for a courier so the hubby went to CHC Kingston Jamaica to see what was up...they never couriered it at all...it was sitting at the CHC....well I was SHOCKED to find out that it was a denial!!! And the reason that the Officer had written on the refusal letter...she thinks the applicant is using the sponsor for financial reasons!!! Do you believe this...I am on ODSP how much money could he possibly be using me for???? Would that not be slander? And even if he was...shouldnt that be something thats up to me to decide????? I'm the one who needs him home!!!!! I am the one who proposed marriage....plz any input about an appeal process would be great!!
Thank you
