A PR supporting LMIA doesn’t allow you to apply for a work permit. It allows you to use the 50 points to your EE profile to get ITA. If you needed a work permit then employer applies for a LMIA and pays the $1k. It can take several months for approval. PGWPs can no longer be extended, so not it can not be extended.
