1. I assume you live somewhere and either rent or own, visit Drs., have a bank account, have a telephone etc, credit card bills, hydro bills, car insurance, etc.

Yes - so ph bills, rent receipts, bills with a Canadian address on it will do?

Dont need to be working (T4`s) or enrolled in a University/School?

Working or attending university is better proof than rent receipts and bank records. Rent receipts prove you've rented an apartment, not that you lived there. Bills prove you paid for water, phone etc., not who was using them. Even bank records in Canada could come from somebody else having and using your card for you while you were away. A printout from health care is a bit stronger because health cards in some provinces have photos on them so might be hard for another person to use. However, the more evidence you have, even if each thing is not very strong, all of them together may be enough. If you aren't working or studying, instead of doing nothing, you could do some volunteer work.

Ok - I understand all of the above and that's why I wasn't sure if it was a case of putting everything together or if work/university was a requirement.

I will be starting work soon but didnt want my first 3/4 months of PR in Canada (with no work) to be a waste when I apply for Citizenship after my first 2 years.
