PR status , if not met 2 year requirements

Hello

I became a Canadian PR in October 2008 , but had to return back to my home in November 2008 due to serious illness of my grandmother and had to be here to take her care . I than enrolled myself in engineering course in my country itself . Now my course ends in June 2013 and my PR card expires in October 2013 . But i really intend to do my masters in engineering or a management course from Canada after the completion of my bachelors degree in engineering here . So what is best for me . I have a sister who is married in Canada . Would that be of any help ?
If before entering Canada i get myself enrolled in a course there , would the immigration officials still stop me ?

If you don't return to Canada by Nov/11 and reside for 2 years, your PR status is gone.

Thanks for the reply but i have a few more queries .
1. If i enter Canada before the expiry date of my PR card and stay there for a 2 year period without returning & than apply for renewal of PR card . Would that help ?

2. What if i seek entry into Canada on humanitarian grounds by explaining the reason of my absence to the immigration officer ?

Please help me out . Leaving my engineering mid-way would be great trouble . Can u suggest something else ?

1. You can only do that if immigration does not question your PR status as you enter Canada. If they do, they will start proceedings to revoke your PR. You would be able to appeal, either by stating that they are wrong and that you do meet the residency requirements and that you can prove that you were living in Canada which is not an option for you because it would not be true and you would not have such proof or by stating that you had Humane & Compassionate grounds for not being able to meet your residency requirements.

2. It would not be considered H&C grounds that you chose to study in the country you come from rather than to study in Canada.
