Hi need guidance for question on mother father. My wife a Thai national and the applicant. My wife was given up as a baby and raised by her uncle and aunty whom she considers her parents. Her aunty and uncle had two children after taking my wife in. The father left before my wife was born and had other children at that time and also children after. My wife has had little contact with him nor knows her siblings birthed by her father. My wife's mother married a few years later and had two more children which my wife knows well. Question who should be claimed as mother/father and which siblings should be included? I'll be very thankful for any light shed on this.

If her aunt and uncle did not officially adopt her, she should put her birth parents as her mother and father. She should put her half-siblings on the list. If she does not know and cannot find out the asked-for information, such as address and date of birth, she should include as much information as she does know, then include a letter of explanation.

In the letter she can also explain that she was raised by her aunt and uncle. I would put their names and other information in the letter, as well as that of their children. It may not be necessary, but it will not hurt, and the visa officer may have questions about her family.
