It doesn't matter when your PR card expires. If you are in violation of the Residency Obligation when you return to Canada, you risk being reported and process started to revoke your PR status no matter if you have a valid PR card at the time.

that means i cant go ok thanks for the info thouHey i have a question..so i suppose leave n i get few weeks shorten on my requirement n my pr will expire on 2018 december so when i come back while at the aiporrt they can know that if am shorten few weeks probably if i go around this years september..
Plus can they reject the applications while am gone for few weeks in september..i am just guesssing the senerios

If you're asking about sponsoring your spouse - then yes, they can absolutely reject your sponsorship application and revoke your PR status if you apply to sponsor your status and don't meet RO.
But my pr will expire in 2018 december if i leave in september 2017 for 3 weeeks n then enter the airport at the airport they will recognize it ?and cic wil reject it ?the same moment?
