Hi Guys,

I recently got PR last year and I heard that for PR renewal one should compete 2 years out of 5 years. I have seen certain people who in past were out mostly from Canada but still able to renew their PR. Is there any other way for PR renewal because in my current scenario I wont be able to complete 2 years in my first 5 years ?

Thanks in advance

The immigration and PR renewal has become quite strict over the last few years. My advice to you would be keep your records straight and truthful , as any falsified information may cost you, your PR.

CIC is usually understanding if you can explain your situation to them. Also there are ways where you can make your PR count while outside of Canada. For example, if your spouse is Canadian Citizen and lives with you outside Canada.

Hope this helps, All the best to you.
