PR Renewal Q21 Travel History - how to calculate

Hello,

Filling up PR renewal application on im5444e.

The question is how to calculate the physical presence?

For citizenship they have clarity:
"Absences will be calculated only for days where an applicant spent no time at all in Canada. Dates where an applicant left Canada, or returned to Canada will not be counted as an absence since the applicant was physically present in Canada for a portion of both days. "

But for the case of PR renewal - I found no guidance on it...

I would include day trips for both PR renewal and citizenship applications.
