I appreciate if some of you can give me some advices on my situation.

- landed in Feb 2008 with husband (I am the main applicant), stayed for a only a week in Canada. PR expiring in March 2013.
- child born in late 2009. Child was conceived with IVF frozen embryo transfer (embryo was frozen in 2006 in home country, so we had to perform all medical procedures in the home country.)
- I understand that one parent has to be physically in Canada for apply PR for the child, and that process takes a few months. But I was unable to leave my child as I have been the major caregiver, and my husband was on frequent business travel in home country due to the nature of his work.
- I am ready to stay in Canada now, but my husband will still need to stay in home country.

my question is, if I plan to enter Canada before PR expires and stay for 2 years before I renew my PR, is there a way that I can take my child with me all the time?

If you had done this while you still met the residency requirements, you could have asked for a TRV or a TRP to take your child with you and you could have then sponsored your child for PR. However, now that you don't meet the residency requirements any more, that will come out when you try to apply. Even if you do get a visa for your child to come with you to Canada, your address history when you apply to sponsor your child will quickly reveal that you do not meet the requirements yourself. Of course you can try it and see what happens. Worst case, you will lose your PR and have to go back home but if you don't try, you'll never know if you would have succeeded.

looks like the chances are quite slim, but thank you anyway, Leon. I did not ask for TRV or TRP earlier because I feel it difficult to take care of a small baby alone in Canada. Now he is going to be three years old and it is much easier for me.
