PR renewal delayed at Ottawa local office for almost a year !!

Why Ottawa?! This is so strange...I know they can transfer the file to local office for more review but why Ottawa!! Did you call the CIC to know about the reason behind the transfer to Ottawa?! Also, Did you already apply for Citizenship? If yes, did you get RQ?! All the best with all

Hi egyo, I don't know why they transferred my application to Ottawa. I am so scared and worried. Leon or any body who has gone through this route can share and advice.

CIC agent on phone just reply saying that the file got moved for further verification. Don't know what further verification they are doing. I applied for PR renewal and Citizenship at the same time as i had been physically in Canada for 1130 days in the last 4 yrs. I got no RQ for none.

What about you, whats happening with your case? Where is your PR renewal file now at what stage?
