Card sent thro Canada post on 15 th May.

My wife's PR Card status :
Applied on 5th May
Photto resubmitted online on 14 th May.
Still in process.

It is to be noted that we lived here for 12 years out of 17 years.
We left canada in june 2018 and arrived in April 2023.
When we arrived in canada, the PR card was valid for just 40 days.
No 44 report was issued at the port of entry.
We lived here for 741 days before applying for PR card renewal.
Thank you all for guidance and support.
Thank you IRCC.

My husband's renew PR card status:

Pr portal- 'UpdateAt' date changed to April 29, 2025
Pr card mailed from Sydney, NS: May 5, 2025
PR card received (Edmonton): May 12, 2025
processing time was 10 days when we were applying, we received PR card in mail by 19th day. In canada post MyMail app: pr card mail showed 'Canadian Bank Note Company' as the date it was delivered.

Hi, I applied for renewal of PR card on 9th May after meeting residency obligation. There was nothing on my application until yesterday when I called IRCC and they said they will do first check and an officer will review it today. Now today the application was returned due to photo not meeting requirements. Given my application has surpassed processing time, I have some questions:

1. I resubmitted the photo soon after I got the message of rejection- would this mean my application will take 12 more days to process? Based on current processing time or will it go back to the same queue

2. I have international travel scheduled on Monday, given Friday is the Canada Post strike are there any options where I can request from IRCC that I would like to collect the card in person?

3. Can I leave without pr card for one week and come back via US border?

Yes, the resubmission date of photo will be the date of new application. From that date, 11 days. This was told to my wife application too, when she resubmitted on 14 th may

hi all,
My wife PR card application has been returned for the 2 nd time stating that photo is poor quality, ( out of focus, shadows, facial features not clearly defined )

My photo is approved. We took photo from UPS store.

I am trying again with same UPS, but is there any other option to take quality pic ?

Walmart, staples, shoppers drug mart are few options, but which option is best ?

However, it says "updated at " 26/05/2025

Go to a professional photo studio who are experienced in clicking photos for visa/passport applications. Some photo studios also guarantee to retake your picture for no cost, if you can show them the proof that the photo wasn't accepted.
