Hi,

I am new to this forum and yet to start reading upon skilled migration let alone apply.. still I would request experts to ans this question.
I am currently on H1 here in the US and lets say I apply for skilled migration and get my PR. I know that i have to stay 2 of the 5 years to maintain status but does that require stay there continously for 2 years or split it up as needed. lets say that I got a project in canada or my company lets me work remote, then will It still count towards my staying in Canada. what about paystubs, taxes etc?

So in a nutshell, what is required for maintaining PR?.

Thanks,
Sam

2/5 is must unless one can give cogent reason for not being in Canada. This period can be in phases also, no need of continuous period.
If your canadian employer sends you to work somewhere it is counted in the period you spend in Canada.
You will be taxable in Canada.
