Hello Everyone!
I am on H1B visa in US from 2008. My priority date is in 2012. I got impacted during a layoff last week and have my last day is in the first week of October. My previous manager offered me a job in Canada ( Montreal) and I am trying to understand how the PR works.
Basically, it will be inter company transfer with an offer of employment. I am also planning to write IELTS. I took an assumption in the CRS tool ( Speaking 8, Listening 8, Reading 7-7.5, Writing 7). With the above scores, the CRS score is 486.
So, I would like to know what is the current processing time for PR( the PR will be from Montreal, Quebec) with the above details? If I accept the job, the end date will be extended in US to accommodate the move.
The advocate from my company who files PR in Canada was mentioning that it will be close to 3-4 years. But, the express category for PR seems to around 4-5 months. So, can someone please help me understand what will be the approximate processing time in this scenario ? I am confused.
Thanks
