I submitted online in July! I received the provisional application number that month, is it so fast now? Are they all processed until June submission?Hello everyone,
I submitted my "paper" application on May 28, 2021 and only received an email from Mississauga office on June 23 saying that they received my application on May 31 and provided a Temporary Number that cannot be used to connect my paper application to online application.
Any ideas when they are going to start the processing? Many people here that submitted in June got correspondence from IRCC that they started processing in December.
Unfortunately for me, nothing yet! And you know without PR you cannot do much. Like I want to become an ATIO and RCIC but need PR to take the exam!

As far as I know almost all applicants who submitted before June 2021 their processing has started. Mine, though, is still stuck it seems. No final file number yet just the provisional (temporary) as you said.
It is estimated that yours is also fast, is it really accelerating now? We are so easy to deal with, why doesn't ircc deal with us first? Many of our programs don't need it!
Try to connect your file with your account. They won't send you any email if they start processing your file. You have to check it yourself
How to choose the number of people when linking? As for my own application, my common-law partner is already a pr, ask the number of family members in the application, should I choose 1 or 2?
Online application cannot be linked to paper with just the temporary file number. It is also clearly stated on the letter I received via email.

Yes, you are right. Our PR files are extremely easy to process and we are already in Canada so taking almost 2 years to process is a ridiculous.

I just checked online and they started processing like others on December 6th:
- We received your application for permanent residence on May 31, 2021.
- We started processing your application on December 6, 2021.
- Medical results have been received.

But still I cannot connect my application to the online portal. It is asking for file number. My file number is provisional.
Did you live in any country for more than 6 months other than your home country before coming to Canada?
