PR process for my spouse and kid after I get a PR.

Hi All,

I am applying for a PR for myself as the score is better for me alone so once I get the PR, what will be the next step for me to get PR for Spouse and Kid?

The reason for me applying for myself alone; is that my wife does not have her education WES done and during COVID times it will take 3 or 4 months to get the transcripts from the university and be processed by WES.

You make an application to sponsor them under the Family Class or in-Canada class if she is here with you.

Family class sponsorship.

But don't be surprised if it will end up taking 1,2 or more years after your submit the sponsorship application before they are granted PR status. These sponsorship applications tend to be very lengthy. It is probably worth a lot more waiting for you to apply together.

By all means you should try to apply for PR together and avoid resorting to Family sponsorship later on... trust me... you don't want to go down that road.
