Hi All, I did soft landing in 2018 and lived 4 months in Toronto and came back due to my Job security in home country. However, I wanted to go back now but due to this COVID condition it got postponed. I have below queries:
1: Is there any exemption on the no. of days due to this COVID-19 situation for the PR holders living aborad.
2: We are expecting our baby and can't move before that again this COVID situation and doctor recommendation. How can we apply Visa/PR for baby. Can I apply from here or Do I need to go back and apply for him/her. There maybe issue then as my Wife needs to be there with baby in home country.
Please help...
Thanks in advance.

1. Not at the moment.

2. You can apply for a TRV for the baby. You cannot sponsor the baby from outside Canada. The PR must be in Canada to sponsor a family member.

Sure Thanks Sir.. :) so TRV will work? as we are both canadian PR's or Do we need to provide any supporting doc..
Also any idea on OHIP rules. I heard now there is no criteria for 90 days waiting period.

There is about a 50/50 chance the TRV will be approved. If it is refused, you can try applying for a TRP. If that is also refused, then one of you will have to move to Canada ahead of the rest of the family to sponsor your child for PR.

Yes, OHIP has no 90 day waiting period at this time. However your child will not have OHIP coverage if you bring your child to Canada on a TRV/TRP. You will have to wait until your child is a PR before the child will have OHIP coverage.

I’m sorry you had a miscarriage but the advice is exactly the same. Would add that you never met the residency obligation for your OHIP cards so any care that you received could be billed to you and you’ll need to reapply. 90 day wait periods being waived are temporary and will eventually be reinstated. When you and you wife return you will need to wait the 90 days again if they are back in place.

Nobody knows when the 90 days will return but it will return. There are specific residency requirements to receive OHIP that you never met so you've never qualified for OHIP. You must reapply when you return. You should have also informed OHIP when you left the country to move back home.

Definitely not eligible even if your card is still valid since you haven't met fhe health coverage residency period. Your family needs to reaply and were supposed to advise the health authority of your absence partially to prevent fraudulent use of your card number. Also not a bro which you shouldn't assume
