According to news which came out yesterday, on 10 April the Canadian government agreed to fast-track the permanent residency of 7,776 skilled immigrants under express entry. If you calculate the nos of people who have received ITA till date, they total 7,776. Perhaps this is why we haven't seen a draw for a while. Further details can be found In the link below, last paragraph especially. Please share your thoughts.

does this mean we will not have any more draws ???

I doubt we wouldn't have anymore draws. I believe as it's a new system they are just testing it to see how fast it can be. They might be draws but won't be processed as fast as the earlier draws or CIC might do other draws and also process them as fast as the earlier draws. Don't forget CIC is very unpredictable.

I think you have some issues comprehending basic English:

As of April 10, the government has offered to fast-track the permanent residency of 7,776 skilled immigrants under express entry.

This means that so far government has made 7.776 offers whereas you conclusion is that this will be the total # of ITA's issues this year.

Read something through before spreading rumors and feeding trolls.

I am not sure why people are so eager to speculate the things. The context altogether in the article is different and the people started it to speculate it the other way around. Please keep calm and be positive.

That articles from CBC meant 7776 offers to fast-track PRs issued, in our terms, it's ITAs. I'm sure those invited last draw hasn't got PR and few of them hasn't even applied. It can't be 7776 PRs issued. People should indeed stop panic and know the system and it's unpredictability:

We all like to know the future. That's why the history of astrology goes thousands of years. Unfortunately we also panic if we "know" it doesn't come out the way we want. So yea keep calm and patients shall pay off (Although I'm having a hard to being positive on CIC)

The picture they've chosen to go along with the article is cool in its own unique way. The severed head in the bottom right corner is especially noteworthy.
