Hello Seniors,

I have a situation where we me and my spouse received medical request for Permanent Residency in CEC. My wife had done her medicals for OWP in september 2013. Does she need to do them again for PR? Her Client Id is still the same, only address changed??

For me, she has to do it again because that's for her PR. I know it costs money but you're almost done with your application, why delay it? ???

Immigration Medicals are valid for 1 year. I'm not sure what kind of tests are done for OWP, but for PR - they do Urine, Blood, Chest X-Ray, and normal body check-up. You can either call CIC or email to confirm if your wife need to do it again.

However, I agree with gracy016 and would suggest to just re-do them to avoid unnecessary hassle.

When I went to get my medicals done, my doctor selected 'worker' as the type of application. So I guess
the medicals are the same. And medicals are valid for 12 months, so I don't think you have to re-do medicals
for your spouse. Email CIC about the medicals and see what they say.
