Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi,

I received my MR yesterday. I know for medical test along with IMM1017 form i need to take my passport also to the clinic.

Actually i submitted my passport for my daughters PIO and would take minimum 2 more weeks to get my passport back.

Just wanted to know what is need for passport in MR? is it only for the photo ID proof? any chance i can use the photocopy of my passport and original licence as the proof?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Passport is mandatory , photocopy will not work ,
But you have 60 days to complete MR so you can wait till that
Good Luck

Proper identification (proof of identity must include at least one government-issued document
with photograph and signature, such as a passport or national identity card)

When I went for my PR medicals in Edmonton the panel doctor accepted the Canadian driver license of another applicant who had come for his PR medicals without the original passport or a copy of it.

There is no harm in trying. You have nothing to lose.

Just like others have said - Must bring your actual passport to the doctors office rather than a photocopy.

Where you located? you should check with the doctors office to see if the accept other types of identification other than your passport

Guys

Coming to Medicals , I believe Doctor prefers to look for passport as they also have to identify the person if the person is the one which CIC is requesting to take medicals some accept it and don't negotiate it with any other ID proofs.

Other ID proofs might be accepted but that applicant has to check specifically before visiting the clinic. But As long as I know everybody looks for passport .

In the very specific query applicant should call the doc if he/she agrees with other ID proof , proceed with that.
