Hi Everyone,

My husband has his PR Interview on the 26th of july in Etobicoke. I am the sponsor and also a Canadian Citizen. Can anyone share with me what documents they brought to the interview? And perhaps a list of odd questions they might ask. I read the post with 100 questions and we have those completed.

Thanks so much,

The documents he would need is his passport, the Confirmation of Permanent Resident (COPR) document and 2 passport pictures and any other government issued id. Don't be worried about the questions because its just straight forward If u the sponsor still wants to go ahead with it and also to let you know that you are responsible for them for the next 3 yrs. You the sponsor has to have government issued id.

Thanks so much!

One more question: should we bring any other documents relating to bank accounts, photos, utilities, etc? Do they ask for those things?

That's not necessarily true. It depends why the interview is being called. if it's a landing interview - then all he needs is what you've indicated. If the interview has been called to assist the officer in making a decision in the application - that's a different matter.

You are right about that i guess i should have asked if they have the COPR in hand.

As mentioned in the post..is it for a landing interview or an interview to determine the if the relationship is real?

Is not the passport enough as an Id?

Then u will need pictures and as many proof as possible. Could get letters from family and close friends that also helps. Messages and chats that u guys had basically anything that will help them believe that the marriage isn't a marriage of convenience.

Just wanted to update this post. My husband received his PR without any questions or asked. Interview was scheduled for 8:30am-930am. We arrived at 745am and received 2 tickets to pay the fee and one for the interview. By 8:20 we had paid and 9:00 we were out the door with his new sin.

The visa didn't ask many questions. She Was more concerned about showing proof we lived together. I had my SCOTIABANK statement that just showed up the day before and I grabbed that. She asked for his passport., identification and his landing papers. The CiC letter states to bring only original documents but you should bring a few more. I had bank statements, cards, bills . The visa officer said she rejected 2 other applications because they didn't have any proof of paperwork showing same address.

Good luck to everyone along the way! Feel free to email trainerrx@gmail.com if you have questions about the in land spousal sponsorship process.

Cheers!
