I don’t think that would be a wise choice. That could be construed as evading prosecution.

Where is he planning to travel? To his home country or elsewhere?

OK - in that case entry into that country won't be an issue. Will he need any transit visas for the trip? If so, these could be a problem with charges outstanding. When it comes to travel, being charged is to some extent treated as the equivalent to having a conviction (so unfortunately not quite right to say innocent until proven guilty).

I assume he's working with a criminal lawyer. I would check with that criminal lawyer about leaving Canada.

He does not need any visa for transit. I am just wondering if he can leave before buy plane ticket and can re-entry to canada. Thabk you so much and do you have any refer to lawyer who can help with this case. Thanks again

Unfortunately I don't have a lawyer to recommend.

Was he arrested when he was caught (I'm assuming yes, since he was charged)? Did they release him from custody on bail or terms of release?

Yes. He's arrested and police said will charge him. After 2 hours, he's released and asked to wait for documents by mail. It happend 2 weeks ago, and recive nothing except the warrant for searching his house when he's released. H's not fingerprinted or photographed . liitle confused this point.

He arrested and said will be charged. Go home and wait for mail. Tha't all. No paper or bail

Well, I still wouldn't leave Canada personally. I'd suggest that if he really needs to go visit his mom, he should contact the police and let them know what his plans are. They may have something to say about it.

Thabk you so much for your suggested

Yes you need to know the conditions of his release before travelling. A lawyer may be able to get you permission for short travel but I think you likely need permission before you go. Obviously we don't know his charges so hard to know how serious his charges are.
