I'm waiting to hear back from my permanent residency application, I've gone through 2 extension so far. The most recent one they sent me says I must provide proof that the permanent residency application was sent in order to receive any more extensions. Problem is, I don't have my receipt for when I sent it off. I've looked everywhere and I must have tossed it out not knowing. I do however have proof of funds (Receipt paid online, proof that I paid online, and proof that it was withdrawn from my credit card) Is this enough for proof? Or is there a way I can get something else?

hey exactly what permanent residency EXTENSION are you talking about ? Are you on an exempt from residency obligation for the PR card holders ?

I've been here for 2 years on Visitor Visa. The most recent one I got back says, "Must provide proof that application for permanent residence has been submitted with any further extension requests".

You can call CIC and ask but I would think that the fee should be enough. Supposing you've sent it in but not heard anything back yet? Do you know when you mailed it in exactly? If you know, you can tell them that as well.

do you have any access to ecas? maybe still the most appropriate way to call cic and ask for advice.
