I got a immigration visa for my wife and me supposed to enter canada in september. Now my wife is pregnant and we want to just go and comeback early completing all formalities. what will be the procedures to get the PR card for child.

The best would be to deliver in Canada -then the kid becomes a Canadian Citizen by birth -no PR formalities needed.

Remember, after 7 months of pregnancy IATA regulations might not allow your wife to travel -& it's not advisable too.

According to me it would be better, don't return immediately after getting PR card. Let your wife deliver the baby in Canada. A birth certificate should be made there and the baby will become Canadian citizen. There can be different suggestions from others.

I would still advice u to deliver the baby in Canada -that's the best & wise thing to do.

However, if u must return & deliver abroad -then u'll have to apply for the baby 'afresh' under 'family sponsorship' class. Remember, it'll be a fresh/new case, as the baby was not part of your family when u applied for your PRV.
-File-in the apps, pay the fees & the usual timeframe prevails.
-As I understand, it's 6-12 months wait now, to sponsor one's family member/s.
