PR Card Waiting Time

According to CIC, the waiting time for the PR Card is 56 days?

- Is this from the date you landed - with or without giving an address? OR the date you gave the address after landing?

- I was able to add my address through CIC Call Center but they didn't mention anything about the card? Will that mean the card is already in process?

The processing time is from your landing date. The address is purely for delivery purposes, no impact on production of the card.

Production of the card is initiated when your record shows you've landed/completed the immigration process. It's not dependent on when you submit your address. As I mentioned above, the address will be useful after the card has been made and is ready for issuing.

I landed on November 20th and just got my PR card last week, January 24th. It was just over 8 weeks, but I expected that with the holidays.

I landed on november 28th and received my card on 1st february 2017.So will say it took 2 months.When i landed the lady told me it was going to take 8 to 10 weeks.
So good luck to all waiting for their pr.

Hello everyone.

We've made a short landing in the beginning of February 2017 providing my friend's address. A couple of days before she received 3 envelopes with PR card, but we are 4. My elder daughter PR card is missing. Is that a normal workflow to send the family's cards separately or I need to do something?
