Application 1. For my spouse the status ID changed from 16 to 20 yesterday. I am now able to link my spouse application in IRCC.
Latest update from IRCC
Review of eligibility - November 14, 2025
:Your eligibility has been reviewed. Please see the final decision below.
Status 'We mailed your permanent resident card to you. Your card can take up to six weeks to arrive.'

Application 2. For my application the status ID changed from 16 to 20 today. But I am NOT able to link my application in IRCC. I think I may need to wait couple of days ?

Anyone had similar situation currently or in past ? Can I expect my spouse PR card in next couple of weeks ?

Thanks for your help.

Since i submitted only my individual application, I'm not sure how this works (if your renewal applications are completely separate or tied together) ?
- Someone else can probably advise you better.

If they are indeed two completely separate renewal applications (independent of each other) on two separate ircc accounts :
  • In some cases, linking may never work (just bad luck). Maybe try again next early next week and double check to make sure you've entered your details correctly, for example: your UCI, place of Birth (as on your copr), Date you became a PR (as on back of pr card) etc.
  • If you still can't link it, then you either have to wait and hope the card just randomly shows up in your mailbox ... OR .... alternatively, you could call up ircc to ask the status of your application on their phone helpline if you feel it's delayed past normal processing time.

For cards mailed out :
  • Can be anything up to 6 weeks. If you're lucky you might get it in the mailbox in 2 to 3 weeks. It all depends on your location, CanadaPost processing times and your luck.

Thanks for the quick repones. We submitted individually (separate renewal application). I will try to link again my application in next couple of days.

I applied on Oct 8 for the whole family. I wasn't able to link any of our applications - the only applications that appear are our first PR applications from years ago. I'm also not able to find them via the Client Application Status tool.
Update: My husband received the AOR on Nov 3 and the new PR card arrived on the 13th. I was able to link his application and also track it via the CAS tool the next day.
No word yet on mine and my son’s applications, even though we submitted them on the exact same day, just minutes before my husband.

Hi,

Submitted PR card renewal application through online portal on Oct 30th.
Received New PR card in Mail today (18th Nov).
Lucky you. Is it regular online application or you submitted as urgent processing ? Were you able to link your application in IRCC portal and any idea when the decision taken and they mailed the PR card renewal ?

Did you got any periodic updates while they were processing ?

I applied on 29-Oct but there were no status updates since then.
Online Application - 29 Oct 2025
Application Link - 12 Nov 2025
Final Decision - 18 Nov 2025
PR Card Arrival - Awaited

Note: Not received any updates during the process.

Thanks for the response. Not sure if anything to do with province. I submitted from ON. I submitted actually on Oct 6th and with some reason it was returned and I resubmitted on 31st Oct with urgent processing. I see it went to regular queue last week (I called IRCC they mentioned) as the officer decided to not considered my application as urgent. I hope I will get some update next week. My travel date is on 16-Dec :(.
