Hello, my situation is I was away for a long time (>10 years) due to having been seriously ill. Returned in September 2025 and issued section 44 at the border- secured a job in Canada shortly after and left to go overseas again to pack up and returned in December 2025. Ministers delegate issued In October 2025 a positive permanent residency determination by email based on humanitarian and compassionate grounds. I have returned now approximately 3 months and am working and living in Canada. I applied for a new PR card last week. I ticked H&C condition on the form and attached the decision regarding the positive permanent residency decision by CBSA.
1. How long is this likely to take to process for them to issue it?
2. Am I likely to be reported again under section 44 or is it just long processing time that is my risk?
3. Will the card be posted out or will I have to be interviewed again - I dont mind being interviewed but its more that I imagine this will delay things etc.
