Hello everyone,

I’m starting this thread for those who submitted their PR card renewal applications in September 2025.

My timeline:
Submitted: September 4, 2025

Please feel free to share your timelines and updates so we can track progress together.

Wishing everyone the best of luck!

My timeline:
Submitted: September 18, 2025

I submitted it on the 17th, but considering that I finished everything at around 8PM, the submission date was September 18 on the system. Hoping for the best by around mid-October.

Submitted online on Sep 8th, nothing heard since then. Unable to link application on Secure account, can't find it. Now Canada Post is on strike which is a big concern.......

I can’t link my application either. With the Canada Post strike, I’m also worried about delays. Hopefully, they’ll use a different shipping carrier, or maybe offer a pickup option instead.

Applied to renew my pr card online via the PR portal.

Date submitted : September 17th

I submitted two applications on September 24. The processing time is 33 days. Today is the 28th working day, and the status still shows as SUBMITTED.

The PR Portal often stays “Submitted” even after your file moves forward (some people say it stayed that way until the card arrived). If you want a hint, once you logged into pr portal you can open DevTools (F12) → Network → refresh → find the cases?... and check the JSON for a status like “Completed” ( its not official, and people say its inaccurate info). In my case, I linked my application to GCKey and it shows “Final decision – [date]: Your application is in progress” on the same date that the portal status flipped to “Completed” in inspect mode.

Thank you, actually, after reading some comments, I went to check my mailbox and the PR cards were delivered already
