Anyone recently applied for First PR card? I did on Jan 8th, 2021 and still waiting for that.
I'm wondering how renewal processing time got less than new ones' as first card were the priority for CIC.

When you say application received by IRCC is it the time Canada post(or similar) delivered it when you used your tracking number or is it something you can check online?
I would say No. It's when it's actually read by someone.

Ghost update March 25th

Just so you understand what each stage of the application in PR process is, I'm pasting the steps involved. These are a bit different from Citizenship application.

Status of your applicationExplanation
IN
PROCESS

(A decision has not been made yet.)
Application Received by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)
We have received your application and will review it in order of receipt.
Documentation Verified by IRCC
We are reviewing your application to make sure it is complete and that no documents are missing. We will return incomplete applications for resubmission.
An Interview May be Required
We will review the application and decide if an interview is necessary. If so, we will inform you in writing of the date, time and location of the interview.
DECISION MADE
(A decision has been made at this point.)
Approval Status Determined
Your application will be either approved or rejected. You will be informed of the decision.
If your application is approved, you will be notified by mail within four weeks and invited to pick up your card at the IRCC office closest to you.
If your application is rejected, you will be notified of the decision by mail.
COMPLETE
(Your application is considered closed.)
Permanent Resident Card Issued
If your application was approved, you have received your permanent resident card.
Application Withdrawn
You may withdraw your application before we start processing it. We do not offer refunds for applications once processing has started.
Application Abandoned
Your application is considered abandoned if we do not receive the additional information we require within 180 days, in order to process your application. You will need to submit a new application.
Card Cancelled
Your permanent resident card will be cancelled if you do not pick it up within 180 days of receiving your first notice. You will need to submit a new application.

"Decision made" status can still include the line, "we started processing......."
Unless it changes to "Complete", you wont see the update of when your card was mailed.

Couple of questions here, as I am filling out my renewal form --

1> On Q13, Mailing address: should I keep it blank if the address is same as current address or just put "Same as above" or "not applicable."
2> Q19, should the old address goes first or the current address.
3> Q21, Travel history: If I click the No check box, should I fill the "period to be assessed" or just print "not applicable" on the table.

In general, if a question is not applicable to me, should I keep that field/table blank or write "Not applicable"

Thanks in advance.
