I have applied for citizenship in February 2014. My PR card will expire beginning of october 2014. Should I renew it, or is it not necessary? I cross the US border about once a week by car.
If you plan to travel, it is better to have a valid PR card. You can apply to renew it now because it is less than 6 months until it expires. Citizenship takes a long time to process so it is very unlikely that you will have it before your PR card expires.
