PR cancels Work Visa?

I have a closed non-LMIA work visa for a company. Will a permanent residency cancel that visa automatically? Do I have to inform my employer about my PR status?

Yes, your employer needs to no know about your PR status..since there will be no need for a work permit.

When you get your PR you will go get yourself a real social insurance number. You'll have to update your employer with that.
