PR/BC PNP (Open work permit) - Changing employer

Hi there,

Here is my case. I applied for my PR on paper through BC PNP (sponsored for my employer) and right now I have just submitted my background check, and I am waiting for medical exam. Also, I changed my closed work permit and now I have an open work permit. My question is: what happened if I decide to change my job? Is this going to affect my PR process? Thanks

Your PNP nomination is tied to your employment. If you change jobs you have to inform the PNP and get their consent. Otherwise, they may cancel your nomination and that will kill your PR application.
