my application for PR was approved, I recieved my passport back with immigrant visa in it and also a form called Confirmation of Perminent Residence, it says I will be automatically gived PR at the point of entry to Canada - but I am already in Canada, I've been here for 2 years as a visitor... Should I just mail this form somewhere to get my PR CARD or I actually need to leave the country and then come back (initiate an entry?)... i am a bit lost here

thanks

Either you go to the U.S borders and turn back to do the landing, or call the immigration department (call center) 1 888 242‑2100 (in Canada only) to take an appointment to do the landing in the nearest immigration office to your area. Or leave the country and come back from any port of entry. It is up to you.

How could you stay as a visitor for two years? Did you get a visitor's visa four times, the original one and three extensions of 6 months? You can drive south of the border to the US and come back and do it at any port of entry? Where do you live?
