PR Applicaton Rejection Due to Passport?

Hi good day everyone,

We applied for Spousal PR Sponsorship in July 2023. We gave medicals etc. only BG check and Eligibility is left.

I was wondering is it possible for us to get a rejection due to principal applicant passport expiry date? It will be expired on June 2024. Do you think should we renew the passport or would it make the application delayed or something? What do you guys suggest?

Renew it just in case. It won't be rejected for this. But it is by far most convenient if you renew now.

They won't issue landing visa later than expiry date, which is one constraint. Not a big one but can be.

Renewing won't delay it.
