PR application in progress... can apply for visitor visa?

one easy question, been getting mixed reactions to this,
but applying for a TRV while having an application in, does it delay or effect the sponsorship application in any way.
i have my sponsors approval, current status is file is at VO since last month,

No it doesn't have any impact.
