PR Application & Drinking Ticket

Hi guys

I have a weird problem, my dad is waiting for the finalization of his PR application. he completed his medical last december but due to some emergency he had to visited canada so he collected his passport & landed here in canada in march this year, anyway, everything went well he is almost ready to go back to india but he got a ticket, he was drinking beer in public place. is there any impact on his application, I am not sure if they have completed his background check. since he visited canada numerous times & stayed more than 6 months there will be two different background checks one from india & one from canada.

any suggestions would be appreciated.

there should be no impact......it is not a federal offence or a criminal charge......ranks up there with a speeding ticket or minor traffic infraction.....

drinking ticket or any speeding ticket does not have any impact on the pr application. you need not to worry

hope some one can answer my concern i got a drinking and driving ticket in 2009 and my licence was suspended for one year and 1000$finenk drivers cou and had to take drurce was just wondering if it will effect my pr application as i am married to canadian citizen and filed my case in nov 2011 and also submitted my passport on feb 26 my application shows in process since then.any views

these driving tickets does not affect the pr application unless you did some serious i mean some crime..
